The proper formula to make effective phone calls should be followed, but how can you be completely sure you’re following the formula?
Record your calls! The best way to improve your communication skills is to record yourself making calls, both in practice and in live prospecting. Then you can see if you’re doing something like talking too much or being too assertive, etc. You can also talk to your sponsor or teammates to see if they notice anything about your conversations.
Plan to spend twice as long analyzing the recording as it took to record your call. Once you’ve adjusted to hearing yourself on recordings, set aside sufficient time to analyze it, about thirty minutes to review a fifteen minutes call. As you start to analyze the recording, remember to focus on your strengths as well as aspects needing improvement. The problem areas are likely to jump out at you, but don’t overlook those things that you are doing well: being interested in your prospect, not what you will say next; handling questions properly; and so on.
On this video I will show you a tool I’m using to record my calls for free.
Thinking you did well is not enough. Recording yourself will reveal things you didn’t even know existed. Look for ways you can improve. This technique is commonly used by the best networkers in the world. Read the rest of this entry

As we try to achieve higher things in life and find mlm success, people around us will most likely try to keep us to their level. People don’t accept change easily.
The answer to that is to keep on going. Don’t spend time with people like that.
Start to spend time with people who realize that most of the things you try will not work the first time.
But the most important thing is that you launch. And that you keep moving, you keep learning, you keep getting experiences. And you constantly improve as you get new information.
So you have to deal with people who recognize this is the way the world works.
People say “Well I tried and it didn’t work”. Well how many times did you try? “Well I tried it once.” Hey!!! You gotta try 10 or 20 times! Read the rest of this entry
Here’s an old home movie taken back just before I got involved in Internet Marketing. I was trying to build my fortune with my MLM business…struggling like a lot of people do.
One afternoon I received my paycheck in the mail and showed it to our little one.
MLM success stories are looked at as heroes. Are they really? Or are they just following on the same path you are? What if you knew you are one stage away from total success? From reaching all of your dreams, living the lifestyle and having all the money to do the things that are important in your life?
Last year I learned a valuable lesson in my network marketing career as I learned to surf behind a boat. But before I tell you about my experience, let me tell you where I got my understanding of the learning process. It comes from the “ Conscious Competence ” learning model.
It is not clear who originated the very first ‘conscious competence’ learning model. Various modern authors are named, but sources as old as Confucius and Socrates are cited as possible earliest originators. But the model clearly explains the 4 stages you go through in your business. Not understanding these stages is the fundamental reason for the failure of a lot of training and teaching in the network marketing industry.
Now back to my surfing experience…
Each summer I would go on the lake and watch people surf and do wakeboarding. It looked so easy. I was at the ‘Unconsciously Incompetent ‘ stage (this is the fantasy stage – ‘Oh, I can do this, I’ve done snowboarding, surfing doesn’t look too hard’).
Next thing you know, my brother calls me and says “Stephane, come over I just bought a surf, let’s go try it.” That second stage is called ‘Consciously Incompetent ,’ (This is the reality stage: ‘Oh my God, what have I gotten myself into – this is so much harder than I thought.’).

Superstars, Business icons, Professional Athletes, Multi-Millionaires— no matter how much success they have— I’ve heard all of them tell me the same thing…
There are moments when it’s simply too much pressure.
It could be a few hours, a few days, even a few weeks where you have this feeling of just unplugging from everything. You feel you’re never gonna make it. Deals you’ve been trying to complete for too long, competition is too fierce, workout exhausted you, bad decisions turn into nightmares — sometimes it’s just as if everything was against you and there’s no way you can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
